Small scratches and surface erosion show through the new finish. Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish as refinished. There is some intermittent erosion near the muzzle. The stock rates in about Very Good Plus to Fine overall condition.īore Condition: The bore is semi bright and the rifling is sharp. The LOP measures 13 3/4 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The wood shows various scrapes & scratches. A magazine well has been added and the stock is scalloped for the magazine release. Stock Configuration & Condition: The wood stock has a pistol grip with plastic grip cap, bolt handle cut out, raised cheek piece, checkering on the grip & forearm a plastic buttplate. The top of the scope base shows scrapes from mounting the scope. Two scope rings hood the variable power scope to the receiver. The top of the receiver has a one piece scope ring attached to it by screws. Sights / Optics: There are no iron sights. The scope markings include “tasco”, “3-9X40” and “WORLD CLASS 40”.īarrel Length: Approximately 16 1/2 Inches The bottom metal is marked with Arabic symbols and a small “crescent moon”. The rear of the receiver is marked with the serial number. The size of the markings are consistent with a 1930’s conversion, not a 1940’s conversion. We did not remove the scope base but the “crescent moon” markings is visible through the scope base hole and the date is partially visible.
